The mountain farm 'Mordaualm'

Attention: the Mordaualm is not guarded during the winter months, therfore no food or drinks available.

A hike to the "Wimbachschloss"
A trip into the most famous valley of the area – the Wimbachgries.
Follow the sings towards Wimbachklamm (closed from November until April). Before getting to the gorge, turn off onto trail 421 and continue until you reach the mountain cabin “Wimbachschloss” (The hut is guarded during winter just during Christmas and Easter).

If you are opting for a longer trip and still have to energy, you can continue further to the next alpine hut – the Wimbachgrieshütte. This will add another 1 ¾ hours to our trip.

To the local mountain farm "Stubenalm"
Follow the signs to the ‘Watzmannhaus’ (Trail 441). Relatively steep you reach Stubenalm. Just above the Stubenalm take trail 441 to the so called Schapbachkreuzung and continue down to the starting point along a ploughed forest road.
