This easy and pleasant hike takes you from the town center of Ramsau (follow the signs to Marxenklamm and Hintersee) through the entire ‘Magic Forest’ to the lake Hintersee.

Once you reach the Hintersee take a walk around the lake on the ‘Prinzregent-Luitpold-Weg’ and return to Ramsau.

The trip takes you along the south facing slopes above the valley of Ramsau. You therefore are accompanied by impressive sights of the Watzmann and Hochkalter massive. The path takes you to the Restaurant Gerstreit to the Söldenköpfl.
The return to Ramsau follows the same itinerary.

Follow Trail 1 from the parking to the west until you are above the farm Kaltbachlehen. Trail 73 will take you to the ancient ‘salt pipeline’ and back to the starting point.

From the Visitor’s Center (Klausbachhaus) continue on the main road into the National Park for about 200 m. Turn left on the footpath, which leads to the feeding area for deer. Best time to observe the deer ist from around 2 o’clock p.m.
